Membership
Dues for 2008 - 2009
It is time to join the Optical Society of San Diego or renew your membership.
Help promote our efforts to foster a forum for the optics community here in San
Diego. The OSA's membership council administrator has called us "one of the most
active local sections of the Optical Society of America in the country." In our
all-volunteer organization, your membership dues are used to provide the means
for the volunteers to produce the meetings and to sponsor educational outreach
activities.
For
example, every year we sponsor awards for the best optics projects at the San
Diego Science and Engineering Fair. We have also produced an optics workshop at
the annual San Diego Science Educator Association Conference.
As
a member, you will receive our meeting announcements via e-mail. Corporate Membership
is offered at two levels. Dues for a small business with three or fewer employees
are $50 and include three individual memberships. Dues for larger companies are
$100 and include seven individual memberships. In addition, Corporate members
will have a description of their company's products and services included in the
Corporate Sponsors section of our Web site.
