New Focus' Technology Applied to OEM
Solutions

ABSTRACT:
New Focus, a division of Bookham, is a leading provider of innovative photonics
tools and solutions. Products include lasers (tunable and solid-state), optoelectronics
(detectors, receivers, power meters, modulators and drivers), optomechanics, precision
actuators, optics, filters, breadboards and workstations, and high power laser
diodes. New Focus also provides OEM solutions leveraging our core photonics competencies
and technologies for a number of applications including semiconductor metrology,
life sciences, spectroscopy, sensing, and defense. At this talk, we will present
a brief overview of New Focus capabilities and review recent developments including
new products and capabilities, example OEM solutions and future plans.
SPEAKERS
BIO: Herman Chui is Director of Product Marketing at New Focus, where he has
served in various marketing, business development and sales roles since 1999.
Prior to joining New Focus, he held marketing and engineering positions at Agilent
Technologies. He received an M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford
University.
Milan Zeman is Product Line Manager, OEM Solutions
at New Focus. He has received a BS in Physical Chemistry and MS in Imaging Sciences
from Rochester Institute of Technology. Prior to joining New Focus he held various
product development and marketing positions with Xerox, GSI Lumonics, Inrad, SDL,
and JDSU.
