We
are pleased to offer an introduction to Cohu Electronics
and
Tour of its
camera manufacturing facility in Kearny Mesa.
Cohu
Electronics is a U.S.-based manufacturer of high performance CCTV cameras for
security, surveillance, traffic management, intelligent traffic systems (ITS),
and machine vision. They specialize in the practical application of advanced closed-circuit
television technology for surveillance and process monitoring. Custom camera design,
from board-level electronic design to integrated systems engineering, is an important
part of their business.
In
addition to video cameras, special purpose camera housings, and test equipment,
Cohu also offers a wide selection of accessories, including monitors, lenses,
cables, recorders, MPEG/MPEG4 compression tools, and fiber optic transmission
equipment. Cohu outdoor products are designed for reliable duty in some of the
harshest environments and conditions. Cohu pioneered the legendary sealed and
pressurized enclosure and was the first to offer NTCIP control capability in a
traffic management camera.
The
plant tour will showcase the latest in video cameras and associated products from
their engineering to their manufacturing.
