award

On behalf of the Member &
Education Services Council, I would like to
congratulate you and the Rocky Mountain Section of the Optical Society of
America on winning the 2007 Local Section Excellence Award for Local Sections
of 10-50 Members! Along with this honor, a $1000 stipend will be awarded to
your group.
The Excellence Awards program was established to recognize outstanding
achievements of local sections and student chapters. In recognizing the
efforts of our local sections and student chapters we hope to encourage
positive contributions on the part of our members and strengthen relationships
with our OSA leaders. The Local Section Excellence Award recognizes
significant contributions & outstanding achievement in the area of section
programming and outreach efforts.
The names of the winning sections were displayed on a slide during the Plenary
and Awards Ceremony at the OSA Annual Meeting, Frontiers in Optics.
